Immigration Helper ("Immigration Helper", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Official Canada Immigration Services Inc. ("OCIS", "Company") based in Québec, Canada. Immigration Helper is an independent tool and is not affiliated with the Government of Canada or IRCC.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you:

  • visit our website,
  • purchase a subscription, or
  • use our support chat and related features (the "Service").

2. What personal information we collect

A. Information you provide

  • Contact details: email address (and name if provided).
  • Support chat content: messages you send and any information you choose to share for context.
  • Discount / consultant code (optional): if you enter a promo/consultant code, we may store it for pricing eligibility, internal reporting, and fraud prevention.
  • Support requests: information you share when contacting support.

B. Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages viewed, clicks, time on page, and referral information.
  • Device/connection data: device type, browser, operating system, and IP address (which may be used to estimate location).
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used for essential site functionality and analytics (see "Cookies").

C. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe (or another processor shown at checkout). We do not store full card details. We may receive limited billing information such as a payment confirmation, subscription status, and processor customer IDs.

4. Sensitive information — what not to share

Do NOT share sensitive credentials or identifiers in chat, including:

  • passwords or one-time codes (OTPs),
  • passport/national ID numbers,
  • IRCC UCI/file numbers,
  • banking/card details.

We do not need these to provide routine guidance.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Service providers (processors/hosting/analytics/support tooling) who help us deliver the Service.
  • Compliance/safety: if required by law, or to protect users, prevent fraud, or enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Third-party websites and links

The Service may link to third-party websites, including official IRCC/Canada.ca pages. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to:

  • provide the Service and maintain your account,
  • meet legal/accounting obligations, and
  • resolve disputes or enforce agreements.

You can request deletion of your data as described below.

8. International processing

Your information may be processed in Canada and in other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have different privacy laws.
