These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Immigration Helper (the "Service"), operated by Official Canada Immigration Services Inc. ("OCIS", "Company"), Québec, Canada. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Independent tool; no government affiliation
Immigration Helper is a private, independent service and is not affiliated with the Government of Canada or IRCC.
2. Guidance only — not legal advice or representation
The Service provides educational information and general guidance for routine immigration-related questions, including links to official sources. The Service:
- does not submit applications for you,
- does not act as your representative, and
- does not provide legal advice.
You are responsible for verifying information and making your own decisions before submitting anything. For legal advice or representation, consult an authorized professional (e.g., a licensed immigration consultant or lawyer).
3. No guarantees
Immigration outcomes and processing timelines depend on many factors. We do not guarantee approvals, results, or processing times.
4. User responsibilities
You agree to:
- use the Service lawfully and respectfully,
- not misuse the Service or attempt to disrupt it,
- keep your account access secure, and
- avoid sharing sensitive information in chat (passwords, one-time codes, passport/ID numbers, UCI/file numbers, banking details).
5. Prohibited use
You may not:
- use the Service for fraud, deception, or unlawful activity,
- attempt to reverse engineer or extract data from the Service,
- introduce malware or abuse infrastructure,
- harass or threaten others.
6. Source links; third-party sites
The Service may provide links to third-party sites (including IRCC/Canada.ca pages). We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content or policies.
7. Service availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
8. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Subscriptions may renew automatically (monthly or annual) unless cancelled. Billing and cancellation terms are described in our Billing & Cancellation Policy and the terms shown at checkout.
9. Suspension or termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if we suspect fraud/abuse, or if required for compliance/safety. You may stop using the Service at any time.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OCIS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits/data, arising from your use of the Service.
If liability is found, OCIS's total liability will not exceed the amount you paid to the Service in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OCIS from claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Québec and applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts in Québec, district of Montréal, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
